Today we looked that "the painter of women" Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). He would depict a beautiful woman's face, then lavish them in abstract, colorful and ornate clothing.
We did our version of Klimt with chalk and black paper. I was going to send them home, but the colors were so great that I had to keep them for the Spring Salon. Here are a couple of marvelous ones.
I think chalk may be a new favorite for everyone. What a fun versatile medium.
