Today we mixed oil and pigment together, dropped it on water, and attempted to make marbled paper. It was a fun project that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The papers turned out pretty cool too. I'm anxious to see how they will dry. We used cotton paper, and cotton card stock. The paper took the ink a lot better, and marbled a bit nicer. Here is a little bit-
